Other notable villages are Les Gets (F) Avoriaz (F), Montriond (F), St Jean d'Aulps (F), Abondance (F), Châtel (F) Champéry (Sui), Morgins (Sui) and Val d'Illiez-Les Crosets Champoussin (Sui). Each of the Villages have their unique character: While Champéry has retained it’s small “chalet style” village atmosphere, purpose built Avoriaz caters for the many thousands of skiers that pass through each day of the winter season with surprising efficiency. This is one of the favorite destinations for MadMarmot due to the extensive mountain biking area in Summer.
